Nicole Dunn Manuel is an artist and illustrator from Winnipeg, Canada.

Since a very young age, Nicole has always loved to draw. She originally planned on becoming a geneticist, earning her B.Sc. from the University of Manitoba. While there, a botany professor had opened her eyes to the possibility of drawing as a career. She was lead to Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver where she completed her B.F.A. with a concentration in illustration.

Nicole’s work is driven by memories of childhood and curiosity as she continues to look at the world around her with fascination and wonder. Much of her work is created with a younger audience in mind, but she hopes that viewers of all ages can find it nostalgic and fun. Nicole has a passion for characters and telling stories, as well as decorative illustration and hand drawn type. Her most recent work includes illustrations for Whys Learning and an upcoming children’s book (which is a secret for now).

Nicole lives with her husband, Girish, their fluffy cat, Paska, and their ferocious betta, Boris. When she is not drawing, you might find her curled up with a book drinking her favourite tea.
