It has been a crazy past couple weeks, with moving back to Vancouver and classes starting back up. While I’m still recuperating from the move and adjusting to being back in the big city, I am so excited to get back into my creative zone.

Here is a quick drawing I did for this week’s Illustration Friday prompt, “Identical”. Today I was thinking a bit about my background in science and how I still have a fascination and curiosity for it. My drawing is a little overview of mitosis: when one cell divides into two cells which are genetically identical. This is a cell process I studied countless times while completing my first degree. I still remember the science background I come from, but I am excited to pursue my future in art, and I hope that maybe someday the opportunity will arise where I can merge the two together.
